Designers Toast Dellatore’s ‘On Style’
On Friday, September 27, the design community gathered at Tai Ping’s Union Square showroom to celebrate designer and author Carl Dellatore and his new book, On Style: Inspiration and Advice From the New Generation of Interior Design, published by Rizzoli. Over 150 designers and members of the trade were in attendance, including 28 of the 50 designers featured in the tome.
The Lenox Hill Neighborhood House hosted its annual spring gala, The Future Starts Now!, on April 18. The benefit raises funds for the neighborhood nonprofit, which has provided social and legal services to Manhattan residents for over a century. Interior designers incorporated the gala’s futuristic theme when decorating over 40 tables.
The new gatekeepers: How to work with owner’s reps
A group of interior designers gathered in the offices of a prominent Manhattan firm to talk shop. Aamir added: “I feel it’s important for interior designers to work directly with clients, as it’s so personal, it’s a relationship built on trust, honesty and communication. If there’s somebody taking on that role between the client and the designer, in my eyes it doesn’t quite work.”
The Winter Show Young Collectors Night
The Winter Show, a benefit for East Side house, held its annual Young Collectors Night at the Park Avenue Armory. This prestigious group brought together some of the design world's most illustrious interior designers.
Designer tables ‘wow’ at Veranda’s Orchid Dinner
The dinner featured 25 tables settings designed by New York’s leading architects, interior designers and horticulture experts based on the theme, “Key West Contemporary.”
